The College of Agriculture and Fisheries, through its Extension Services unit, successfully conducted a series of free training seminars on sustainable farming practices in five municipalities across Oriental Mindoro during the month of January 2026.
Over 500 farmers from Victoria, Naujan, Socorro, Bongabong, and Roxas participated in the program, which covered topics including organic pest management, soil health improvement, post-harvest handling, and financial literacy for small-scale farmers.
The extension program is part of MinSU's mandate to provide community service and support the agricultural development of Oriental Mindoro. Participating farmers received starter kits including organic fertilizers, seed varieties, and printed training materials.
